Financing the WCRF

Such an organization like the Women’s Cancer Research Fund (working towards ultimately curing women’s cancers) needs financing. Jamie Tisch’s work for this fund has included fundraising efforts. One of its main projects is to raise monies for earlier diagnosis of women’s cancers. As well, the WCRF has “had an input into the EIF’s Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project,” which is working on the development of a blood test as an extremely early diagnostic tool for women’s cancers which would ultimately “provide the greatest chance of getting cured.”

Jamie Tisch and the WCRF

Jamie Tisch, one of the co-founders of the Entertainment Industry’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) has done a great deal of work in helping finance the advancement of early diagnosis of women’s cancers. This organization has made – and is continuing to make – vital strides in helping cancer patients and has had an input into the EIF’s Breast Cancer Biomarker Discovery Project. This project is setting out to develop a simple blood test to diagnose women’s cancers in their earliest stages to provide the greatest chance of getting cured. This project is run by some of the world’s top scientists and the hope of Tisch’s organization is to “reduce and eventually even to eradicate cancer from the lives of the women that we love.”
