The Society's Third Spring Ball
The ball honored Charles L. Sawyers, M.D., winner or the Laskar Award and chairman of MSKCC’s Human Oncology and Pathogenesis Program, an organization working tirelessly to discover new cures for cancer. In fact, HOPP’s scientists have created two new drugs which are showing promising results- one for the treatment of prostate cancer, and one for melanoma.
The ball collected more than 1.4 million dollars, 260,000 of which will be supporting Dr. Sawyers and his research.
